THE HENDERSON COUNTY CURB MARKET  Goods include: crafts, baked goods, jellies, plants, flowers, toys, and produce. The market has been in continuous operation since 1924. The Curb Market’s hours are 8:00AM-2:00PM Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from April-December, and 8:00AM-1:00PM Tuesday & Saturday January-March. The Curb Market is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Church Street.

CAROLINA MOUNTAIN ARTISTS GUILD  is a group of local artists, living and working in the mountains of Western North Carolina, who operate their own non-profit retail store in Hendersonville where they sell their handcrafted products. Most monies from sales are returned to the artists, with the remaining monies being used to operate the store. Many of the artists demonstrate their talents while you shop.  
Arts_County_of_Henderson_CountyThe Arts Council of Henderson County is the leading advocate and promoter of the arts in Henderson County. The Council manages the county’s only public art gallery and produces an annual schedule of diverse exhibitions that have featured local, regional and national artists.
CENTER FOR CRAFTS, CREATIVITY AND DESIGN. The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design (CCCD) is a regional center of the University of North Carolina with a strong nonprofit support organization. It is located on the fifty-acre UNC Asheville Kellogg Center in Hendersonville North Carolina. CCCD convenes national meetings, supports research in the area of craft and design, and curates exhibitions for a small gallery space and the sculpture and public art on the property's one-mile Rudnick Nature Trail.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN HENDERSONVILLE has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988 and has become a focal point for the area's cultural and commercial activity. Delightfully restored buildings housing restaurants, galleries, and specialty shops line the meandering Main Street. Hanging plants and planter boxes with seasonal foliage and decorations enhance a warm hometown feeling. Annual festivals, parades, street dances and art festivals make Historic Downtown Hendersonville a lively place to be year around.
BLUE RIDGE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER is located in the historic Skyland Hotel building on the corner of 6th and Main in historic Hendersonville, North Carolina.  Featuring a grand marble lobby, a cozy 100 seat theatre and a 20 seat digital screening room, the center is a venue for all types of musical entertainment, comedy, live theatre, host to various writers, speakers, community events, parties and children's events.
HENDERSONVILLE HISTORIC TRAIN DEPOT -  Railroad buffs and historians alike won't want to miss a look back in time found at this Historic Train Depot. A restored Southern Railway caboose and the Apple Valley Model Railroad Club's HO scale model railroad are two of the Depot's highlights.  The depot is open year round, Wednesday 12Noon-2:00PM, Saturday 10:00AM-2:00PM. The Depot is located on Maple Street off of 7th Avenue East. 
click here to see more of these exhibitsTHE MINERAL AND LAPIDARY MUSEUM OF HENDERSON COUNTY was established in 1997,housing exhibits from North Carolina, replicas of world famous diamonds, English minerals, Indian artifacts, a dinosaur egg nest, fossils, fluorescent minerals, gems, and faceted minerals. The Museum's specialty are Geodes, which are sold, cracked and/or displayed. The museum is open Monday-Friday 1:00PM-5:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM-5:00PM. Admission is free. 
THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA AIR MUSEUM is the first air museum in the state of North Carolina known as the "first in flight" state. The museum features award winning restored and replica antique and vintage airplanes. The hours are (weather permitting) March-October Wednesday and Sunday from 12Noon-6:00PM, Saturday 10:00AM-6:00PM; November-February Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00Noon-5:00PM . There is no admission charge. 
 THE BURLINGTON CENTER  is a nonprofit horticultural education center offering programs, activities and workshops.  The Center features a public botanical garden with individual herb, butterfly, mountain habitat, and perennial border gardens. It is open to the public weekdays from 9:0AM-4:00PM
Historic_Johnson_Farm_Hendersonville_NC Historic Johnson Farm is a non-profit heritage education center and farm museum for area school children and the community.  It features an 1880's home, a barnloft museum, 10 historic buildings, animals, nature trails, and 15 acres of fields, forest and streams. The historic farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The 1880s-era farmhouse is believed to be the oldest brick home in Henderson County. The entire structure was hand-built. The brick were fired on site from French Broad River clay that was hauled in by oxen.
