Cedar Mountain NC is Located 12.6 miles south of Brevard on highway 286.The area surrounding Cedar Mountain has some of the state’s most stunning scenery with more than 250 waterfalls, 200 miles of waterways and 470 miles of hiking trails. Activities include camping, fishing, horseback riding, rock-climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, swimming, whitewater rafting, canoeing and golf.

There are almost two hundred well-marked biking trails in the Pisgah National Forest, all of them closely following the waterfalls and trout streams, and sometimes climbing to nearly 5000 feet. Within minutes from Cedar Mountain NC you can be at the Dupont State Forest  and just a few miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Dupont State Forest - is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina. Its 10,400 acres of forest feature four major waterfalls on the Little River and several on the Grassy Creek. Hike, bike, fish, ride your horse or just commune. 
Cradle of ForestryThe Cradle of Forestry of America  is a place of people, nature history and the future. The story of the birth of forestry in America is told here through exhibits, guided tours along.

The Pisgah National Forest is a mecca for vacationers, naturalists and adventurers, offering a wide range of options including hiking and back-packing, camping, fishing, biking, horse-back riding, swimming, rock-climbing, car-touring, waterfalls, wildlife, historical areas, and a variety of special programs to choose from, including everything from lectures to guided hikes and square dancing.
