musical styles at a given event, each
site includes a substantial amount of
traditional Blue Ridge music performed

ADGA-sanctioned Dairy Goat Competition, as

Luminaries Custom
of lighting the way for the Christ child, more
than 2,500 candles in small white bags line
the streets and every storefront is aglow with
Christmas lights and decorations. Shopkeepers
hold "Open House" and serve coffee, warm
cider, hot chocolate and home baked goodies
and stay open late to accommodate holiday
shoppers. Even Santa Clause fits a trip to
Dillsboro into his busy schedule to listen to
the children's gift requests. |

Christmas
Main Street will be decked out in all its
Christmas lights when hosting "Hometown
Christmas." Sponsored by the Saluda Business
Association, this long-standing tradition has
become a way for Saluda residents to come
together and celebrate the holiday season.
Businesses and shops are open from 6-8pm and
serve holiday refreshments while local
musicians perform. |
