THE LEAVES.
Located in the historic Copper Crest Inn (celebrating
its 100th anniversary in 2008), The Leaves is one
of the finest dining experiences around - anywhere. The 2008
season begins with Easter Brunch. Prime
Rib, Wild Bass & Country Eggs Benedict are a few examples of
entrees accompanied with an array of breakfast & light lunch
fixings. Service is available on the outdoor deck as
well as the new bar. HANDMADE PASTA is a specialty and the
general fare goes from fresh seafood to top quality steaks to
an appetizer or sandwich at the bar. Executive Chef Jordan Arace
shows skill and flexibility in his dishes and uses locally grown
& raised products as often a possible. HENDERSONVILLE. The

Tosh's
Whistle Stop Cafe & Ice Cream Shop. The
place is small but the tastes are BIG. Our favorite is the BLUE
CHEESE BURGER - it's pretty much as good as it gets with fresh
hand shaped patties and melted-in chunks of cheese. Add a local
brew and enjoy both in their new location beside the WIldflour
Bakery. The rest of the menu is made with equal care and
originality - whatever the choice you'll be happy with both
quality and quantity. The ice cream shop offers a simple hand-dipped
cone or more elaborate treats. SALUDA Tosh's

LACY
FIELD COTTAGE. Location and walking path..
Overlooking Lake Tomahawk you can step out the back
and onto the half mile path around the lake or enjoy the
playground, tennis courts, golf course, pool (in season) or community center.
It's also a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown stores and
restaurants. The large deck offers views of both the lake and the
mountains. The furnishings are modest but it's clean and has all
the essentials. BLACK MOUNTAIN. Lacy

MONTE VISTA HOTEL. Location, charm and
affordability. If you like LARGE rooms and the slight creak
of real wood floors you'll enjoy this near-original classic hotel
- you can even open the windows. The owners are as friendly and
helpful as it gets. The bathrooms have been renovated and wireless
is available, if you must stay connected. The onsite restaurant is
a local favorite and breakfast can be included B&B style. BLACK
