CEDAR MOUNTAIN North Carolina is Located 12.6 miles south of
Brevard on highway 286. The Cedar Mountain area has some of the state’s most
stunning scenery – more than 250 waterfalls, 200 miles of waterways and 470
miles of hiking trails can be found in the area. Activities include camping,
fishing, horseback riding, rock-climbing, backpacking, mountain biking,
swimming, whitewater rafting, canoeing and golf. There are almost two hundred
well-marked biking trails in the Pisgah National Forest, all of them closely
following the waterfalls and trout streams, and sometimes climbing to nearly
5000 feet. Within minutes you can be at the Dupont State Forest and the
Caesar’s Head State Park hiking trails, and just a few miles to the Blue Ridge
Parkway. Nearby Brevard has lots of shopping and restaurants, and is also home
to the Brevard Music Center and the Brevard College Performing Arts Center |

The Sassy
Goose. Our main lodge features three air
conditioned rooms, each with TV and private bath. Our Log Cabin suites are
the perfect honeymoon retreat. Each cabin has: a living/dining  area,
mini-kitchen (with half sized refrigerator, two stove top burners, a
microwave and coffee pot), separate bedroom with Queen sized bed, all
cooking utensils are included. The
cabins overlook the trout pond and are quiet and secluded. Each has
central air and heat. Our two bedroom/two bath cottage is perfect for a
family get-away into the country for some quality time. The cottage has a
full kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace, Direct TV and screened-in sundeck
overlooking the lake. One bed room has a King sized bed with adjoining
bath. The second room has a Queen sized bed plus a Twin bed, and adjoining

Dupont
State Forest. The DuPont State Forest is located in the
Blue Ridge Mountains between Hendersonville and
Brevard, North Carolina. Its 10,400 acres of forest feature four
major waterfalls on the Little River and several on the Grassy
Creek. Hike, bike, fish, ride your horse or just commune. Dupont

Pisgah
National Forest. The Pisgah District is a mecca for
vacationers, naturalists and adventurers, offering a wide range of
options including hiking and back-packing, camping, fishing, biking,
horse-back riding, swimming, rock-climbing, car-touring, waterfalls,

choose from, including everything from lectures to guided hikes and
